When I was pregnant, my husband and I moved to Wisconsin not knowing anyone in the area. Skylar was one of our first connections. We met with a lot of doulas and none of them felt right. Finally, we met Skylar. She is calm, confident, and steady. I knew that I needed someone with assurance to guide me through birth and help equip my husband too. She is so well informed on pregnancy/birth/postpartum and is willing to give her educated advice when asked for. I needed a lot of help and I trusted her. When my birth plan changed at the last minute, she shifted gears and continued to be a better support than I could have imagined. She went above and beyond in ways that would be too much to list here - ways that were personal to our family and showed that she was thinking about tailoring her help to support us specifically. Skylar is the best! She was willing to add me in to her schedule a few weeks before my due date and was available for any questions leading up to my birth. I ended up having a pretty quick delivery but it was great to have her there to provide comfort and also take some precious videos and pictures for us. She has been a great help during postpartum as well and makes some amazing lactation cookies!
