When I was pregnant, my husband and I moved to Wisconsin not knowing anyone in the area. Skylar was one of our first connections. We met with a lot of doulas and none of them felt right. Finally, we met Skylar. She is calm, confident, and steady. I knew that I needed someone with assurance to guide me through birth and help equip my husband too. She is so well informed on pregnancy/birth/postpartum and is willing to give her educated advice when asked for. I needed a lot of help and I trusted her. When my birth plan changed at the last minute, she shifted gears and continued to be a better support than I could have imagined. She went above and beyond in ways that would be too much to list here - ways that were personal to our family and showed that she was thinking about tailoring her help to support us specifically. I can’t recommend my doula, Skylar, enough. From the start, the prenatal visits before my due date were so helpful and educational. She helped me think through my options and what I wanted to include in my birth plan, which made me feel much more prepared and confident going into labor.
One of the most meaningful parts of working with Skylar was the Christian aspect she brought to our time together. The prayers and faith-centered support were incredibly comforting and helped me stay grounded throughout the whole experience.
Skylar is extremely knowledgeable, calming, and reassuring. She was even willing to come support me during my ECV, which meant so much to me. When my labor ended up being an induction, she stayed and continued supporting me the entire time.
There was a stressful moment during labor when certain movements and contractions caused the baby’s heart rate to drop, but Skylar stayed calm and helped guide and reassure me through it. She used different comfort techniques and positioning throughout labor that made a huge difference and helped me cope during contractions.
Her support didn’t stop after birth either. The postpartum support meant so much, and the lactation cookies she brought were amazing! It was such a thoughtful touch during those early newborn days.
Having Skylar there made my birth experience feel so much more supported and peaceful. I’m incredibly grateful for her and would highly recommend her to any expecting mom looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and faith-centered doula.

Skylar is the best! She was willing to add me in to her schedule a few weeks before my due date and was available for any questions leading up to my birth. I ended up having a pretty quick delivery but it was great to have her there to provide comfort and also take some precious videos and pictures for us. She has been a great help during postpartum as well and makes some amazing lactation cookies!
